On February 9th, 2009, the First Annual Aurea Award is presented by the Serbian electronic news service eKapija. The awards promotes innovative and socially responsible investments in Serbia. Out of more than hundred investment projects, a prominent jury consisting of prominent foreign and domestic business people, members of academia, international financial institutions, and the government, select winners in three categories: innovation, social responsibility, and potential profitability.
Prior to the annoucements of winners, SECCF's Chairman, Professor Branko Urošević, on behalf of the jury, addressed the audience and explained the decision-making process.
The overall winner in 2009 was ICM robotics companies, for openning the first factory for producing robot lines in Serbia. the awards were also given in individual categories. Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Božidar Đelić presented the awards.
