The South European Center for Contemporary Finance (SECCF) is a regional educational organization headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia with an office in Zagreb, Croatia. It was founded in 2002 with the mission to provide Western-style training in finance and related fields of business in the region of South Eastern Europe. What makes that possible is our network of over 50 leading international academics and practitioners that are part of our educational network, in addition to a dozen best regional experts. Among them are Prof. Boyan Jovanović, New York University, Prof. Richard Kihlstrom, Head of Finance Department of Wharton School, Prof. Bob Edelstein, University of California at Berkeley, and Prof. Jakša Cvitanić, California Institute of Technology, to name just a few.
Since 2003, SECCF has organized the International Masters in Quantitative Finance (IMQF), the leading regional masters program in the area of finance, in cooperation with the Economics Faculty of the University of Belgrade. The program has long since been establish as a benchmark of quality in finance education against which all other programs in SEE are measured. The IMQF graduates are most sought-after finance graduates in the region.
From 2007, SECCF offers world-class training programs for managers and executives. The Dubrovnik Lectures in Banking and Finance (DBF) help cultivate skills which are crucial for making the best strategic decisions during critical times such as the current financial crisis. SECCF also provides in-house company training in virtually all areas of modern finance. Its programs are delivered through a combination of interactive lectures, case studies and worked examples, building understanding of important practical issues step by step.
